Southeast Gateway Line CMGC Project

Project Details

The North Hollywood to Pasadena bus rapid transit corridor project ("NoHo to Pasadena BRT") will include 22 stations along a 19-mile alignment. The corridor serves as a key regional connection between the San Fernando and San Gabriel Valleys and traverses the communities of North Hollywood, Burbank, Glendale, Eagle Rock, and Pasadena.

Project Scope

Scope: Freight Relocation and Grade Crossings Work, Hazardous Soil Abatement Work and Utility Adjustments Work

  • Site clearance and demolition works along ROW, including testing of structures for hazardous materials before demolition

  • Hazardous Soil Abatement Work along ROW

  • Utility Adjustments Work

  • Freight Relocation and Grade Crossings Work

    • UPRR track and system relocation to allow future construction of SGL within corridor, further described in Exhibit 3, Part C, Section 1

    • At-grade roadway crossings for relocated freight tracks and future SGL tracks

    • Construction of new Firestone Station vehicle access structure below UPRR freight rail

    • Construction of new pedestrian overhead bridge near Paramount High School over UPRR track

    • Construction of retaining walls, sound walls, fencing and other general civil works for relocated freight tracks

Optional Scope: I-105 Interface

  • C Line LRT track & system reconstruction to all construction of new C Line infill station

  • UPRR bridge demo and reconstruction

  • Southeast Gateway Line LPA bridge over I 105

  • C Line infill station, vertical circulation elements, trackwork and systems duct bank

  • Related pre-construction services

Scopes of Work

Phase 1 : Potential Preconstruction Bid Opportunities

  • Review of Design Documents for constructability and supporting development of Design Documents

  • Identification of additional geotechnical and other site investigations, if any;

  • Identification of cost-effective value engineering alternatives;

  • Active participation in the Senior Project Group and Working Groups;

  • Evaluation of construction phasing options and development of the schedule for the Phase 2 Work under an iterative process;

  • Identification of any modifications to the Site Access Dates, Temporary Construction Easements, and Additional Temporary Interests, if any;

  • Risk Management

  • Development of Construction Cost
